The purpose of this article is to detail how to install the Cloudhouse Auto Packager (which is used to create and maintain Cloudhouse Compatibility Containers™) on a computer that does not have Internet access.
There may be scenarios when the computer on which you wish to install the Auto Packager does not have Internet access to download/update the Auto Packager.
In such scenarios, the Auto Packager can be downloaded onto a computer that does have Internet access and then transferred to the computer on which you wish to install/update the Auto Packager.
This article details how to update the Auto Packager on a computer where the Auto Packager has already been installed that does not have Internet access.
To update the Auto Packager on a computer without Internet access:
- Download and install the latest version of the Auto Packager on a computer with Internet access.
- Navigate to the relevant folder containing the Auto Packager:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Cloudhouse\packager
Windows 7 and later:
- Copy this folder and its contents to the Packaging Computer (if it is reachable on the network), or to a USB key, overwriting any existing files. Ensure the folder, its contents, and file sizes are the same and are created on the Packaging Computer in the same location as the computer they were copied from.
Alternatively, if you receive the Auto Packager as the packager.zip file, extract this to the relevant folder (for example, C:\ProgramData\Cloudhouse\packager), creating the folder structure if it does not already exist.
